The Failings of The American Corporate Structure

Hide as you will

Behind the rules

And procedures that

Were enacted to insulate

You from all culpability,

You have been found to

Be a fraud, sir,

By those that you have been

Given charge to lead.

You have invented

Layers of protection

To keep the naysayers

At bay~

Mirrors have been erected

To deflect the images

Of your failings

Onto the lesser

Cannons are mounted

To stand guard at

The entrances~

Your cronies only speak

One word: Yes.

Droves of faceless

Killers are brought

In to protect you

From dissension~

Disagreement is dissension,

And dissension is everywhere~

Assassins laying in wait to

Take the power you

Have amassed.

You are godlike

In your omnipotence~

Oh, frightened little boy,

There is a world of beauty

Beyond all this

So sad.

So sad.

So sad.

Your hell is of your own making,

Little boy.

About ~Drew

I am a survivor of childhood torture. Each day, I put one foot in front of the other, moving forward. To do any less would spell my own destruction. My music/poetry/prose deal with the devastating effect of this kind of abuse on a human being: me. My experiences/thoughts/ideas/misconceptions are exposed here for all to see. Here. I am lain bare, naked, hidden only be the cloak of anonymity.
